We believe women are poised to do even greater things and make even more of a difference at Indiana Wesleyan and in our world.
That’s why, beginning in the fall of 2024, Indiana Wesleyan University will launch the IWU Women For Philanthropy with the goal of bringing women together to dream, inspire, and lead more profound growth and change at Indiana Wesleyan University.
More than an organization, we pray this is a movement – a gathering of like-minded women using their diverse talents, backgrounds and experiences to enhance the university and positively impact its students, faculty, staff, and future Wildcats.
Indiana Wesleyan University has already been blessed with a core of women who are philanthropic and influential leaders in advancing its mission and strategic goals. IWU Women For Philanthropy builds on that foundation and we hope you will, too!
We'd love to hear from you! Email Connie Erpelding, or complete the form below and Connie will reach out.
Members of the IWU Women For Philanthropy will gather each Homecoming for their annual meeting, where they will hear from the alliance leadership team, current students impacted by this group, and to vote on the alliance's project funding.
Members will recruit other individuals to join by hosting recruiting events in their area, making phone calls to other alumni, etc. Additionally, Alliance members are encouraged to join committees to help deepen the impact on campus, such as: volunteering to speak in classrooms, taking mentorship calls from students, finding ways they can host interns, and more!
Believing that working collectively can have a greater impact than working alone, the goal of the group is to invite women to make a three-year commitment to give $1,000 annually, while also participating in a collaborative process to vet and select projects that their contributions will fund—primarily to enhance the student experience.
Recognizing that those who have graduated in the past five years may be in a unique season of life, they are welcome to join the alliance with an annual contribution of $500, allowing them to participate meaningfully while accommodating their current circumstances.
These commitments are encouraged to happen above present IWU giving, so other areas of great need are unaffected.
